Luxury Residential Complex in South Africa
Viscon Security’s (agent of Tiandy in South Africa) system integrator SecurityWorx was commissioned by the Body Corporate to implement a CCTV Surveillance System for a residential complex of 60 units in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The client required a system that would provide high quality, high resolution Video Surveillance that would monitor the boundaries to the complex, the common area’s within the complex, access points to the complex and the service area’s within the complex, with comparable video during the day as well as at night.
They chose the Tiandy Starlight solution to provide a surveillance system that would meet the clients needs.
By designing the system using the Tiandy Starlight technology that is able to operate in environments with illumination as low as 0.0004 lux, systemintegratorswere able to ensure that the system would provide a robust surveillance system. The system is also capable of enabling Auto-tracking Early Warning, which is based on the Tiandy AI Deep Learning architecture, which combines light and audio warning. The systems is capable of differentiating between people and vehicles and provides a robust early warning deterrent. The entire system is available to authorised users who have installed the Tiandy mobile application designed specifically for Tiandy's IP CCTV products.
The system installed comprised of:
1、12×5MP Starlight IR Bullet camera's
With 5MP@20fps, a minimum illumination of 0.002 Lux and a range of up to 50 meters, this camera was ideal for monitoring fixed areas within the complex. In addition, the VCA capability of the camera to provide Tripwire, Perimeter and early warning added additional security features for the interior of the complex.
2、1 x 5MP Starlight IR Dome Camera
With 5MP@20fps, a minimum illumination of 0.002 Lux and a range of up to 50 meters, this camera was ideal for monitoring the Guard House.
3、7×2MP Starlight Varifocal Motorised IR Bullet camera's
With 2MP@30fps, a minimum illumination of 0.002 Lux and a range of up to 30 meters, this camera was ideal to monitor all exterior areas to the complex. In addition to the VCA capability of the camera to provide Tripwire, Perimeter and early warning, the motorised varifocal lens allowed addition control to anyone with access to the camera to operate it in zoom mode when required.
4、1 x 2MP Number Plate Recognition Camera
This camera was installed at the entrance to the complex to enhance the ability of the security system to visually identify number plates of vehicles entering and leaving the complex.
5、A 40 channel 4HDD NVR
An NVR capable of recording up to 12MP resolution across 4 Hard drives was installed to allow recoding across all cameras. In addition, the NVR allows 3rdparty access to the system using smart device connectivity across the internet.
All the cameras and the NVR were connected using an independent fibre
network using POE switching infrastructure. This ensured the best possible LAN
speed for the cameras and NVR and would ensure that the system was less
susceptible to damage due to power surges or lighting strikes. Additionally, this
allowed connectivity to the internet using WiFi Technology which enabled
authorised users to view the system using the Tiandy Mobile App.
